Gemma Purcell – Enterprise Development Manager – SETU Xcelerate Manager Carlow

Gemma Purcell is responsible for the promotion, management and growth of the SETU Xcelerate Centre and its allied range of support services and training programmes to new and existing enterprises including the New Frontiers programme. Gemma has a proven track record in business development, enterprise support and multi-project management. She holds a BDES honours degree in Industrial Design from NCAD and an MBA from the Institute of Technology Carlow.

Dr. Aisling O’Neill – SETU Xcelerate Manager Waterford and Kilkenny

The SETU Xcelerate Centre represents a unique entrepreneurial ecosystem, marrying academia, research, innovation and enterprise. Aisling is active in advocating for the region in terms of our capacity to support high potential start-ups. She supports the SETU Xcelerate Centre community while seeking entrepreneurs and business ideas for the future development of the region. Aisling is open to business ideas and ways that SETU can support the development of enterprise in the region.

Lorraine Brennan – Co-Ordinator and Administrator of SETU Xcelerate Centre

As Co-Ordinator and Administrator ofthe University’s Xcelerate Centre in Carlow, Lorraine provides a range of supports to tenant companies.She is also Programme Co-Ordinator for the New Frontiers Programme, being responsible for the promotion and activities of the Programme and working closely with participants, consultants and external organisations over the course of the programme.  Lorraine has extensive experience in managing projects and collaboration, having worked in numerous positions within SETU.  She holds a BBus Honours Degree.

Clare Mc Cormack – Senior Administrator,
SETU Xcelerate Centre Waterford and Kilkenny

Clare has worked in the Research Support Unit, the Technology Transfer Office and the New Frontiers Programme. She has extensive knowledge in the areas of Research Funding Industry Collaboration and Entrepreneurship. She is responsible for administrative support in our SETU Waterford and Kilkenny locations. She provides SETU Xcelerate Centre client company support and supports Walton Institute (formerly TSSG), Carriganore House, and National Biodiversity Data Centre. She is a key part of the environment that nurtures growing businesses and in supporting collaboration between entrepreneurs, researchers and academics.
